Open Space Plan

Upper Dublin Township is in the midst of updating its 2005 Open Space Plan.  A committee of residents, staff and consultants are leading the update to the plan which will build on the successes of the 2005 Plan, while addressing the Township's projected needs over the next 10-15 years.

Public Meeting #1 - November 30, 2022

On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, a public workshop was held to provide an update on the committee’s work, review results of the community survey and discuss identified missing connections (sidewalk, pathway, trail, bike lane, etc.) and open space properties of interest.  The general session's PowerPoint slides can be viewed here and/or a recording of the presentation can be viewed here.

For those who were unable to attend the November 30th Public Meeting on the UDT Open Space Plan Update and/or for those who have additional feedback, an online feedback forum is now open through Sunday, December 11th.

At the link below, the PowerPoint slides and recorded general presentation can be viewed, and feedback can be submitted regarding the identified missing connections and properties of interest recommended by the Open Space Plan Update committee.

If you have any questions, please contact Derek Dureka, Parks & Recreation Director, at ddureka@upperdublin.net.

Presentation - Open Space Plan Update Public Meeting #1

Public Meeting #2 - March 1, 2023

Join us at the second public meeting on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:00am or 7:00pm as Upper Dublin Township works to update its Open Space Plan. At these meetings, we will provide an update on the committee’s work since the last public meeting, discuss what is most important to you regarding open space properties of interest and missing community connections, and your vision of what Upper Dublin Township's parks, community connectivity and open spaces should look like by the year 2035.

Following the general presentation, there will be topic-specific breakout sessions. The general presentation will be available to view virtually, but the breakout sessions will not. Those unable to attend in-person or virtually, will have opportunities to provide feedback through an online forum following the meeting. Information about the online forum will be communicated through social media and email.

The meetings will be held in the Shanis Auditorium in the Upper Dublin Library. The link for virtual attendance will be available the week of the meetings.
