Environmental Protection Advisory Board

The seven members of the Environmental Protection Advisory Board (EPAB) of Upper Dublin Township are volunteers (re)appointed for a period of three years by the Board of Commissioners. Its membership represents a range of professional expertise and community interests.

The EPAB either initiates or upon request advises the Board of Commissioners on issues relating to protecting the quality of water, land and air resources. These efforts involve such matters as stormwater and erosion control, land use, waste disposal, recycling and chemical usage.

The EPAB reviews all township development plans and conducts necessary site investigations to ensure development is consistent with sound environmental criteria. As part of its public outreach in the form of surveys and interaction with other area individuals and groups, the EPAB learns of specific or general environmental concerns for which appropriate action is recommended to the Board of Commissioners.

The EPAB meets monthly, on the 1st Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Building unless otherwise announced. All meetings are open to the public. Visit the Township Event Calendar to check on meeting days, dates, times and locations.

EPAB Meeting Minutes can be downloaded.

Farmers' Markets are open from June until late October or early November. The PA Food Trust supports this local food sustainability effort. Discussions are underway to develop a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) in Upper Dublin similar to Pennypack Farm in nearby Horsham Township. Please contact the EPAB if you would like to help make that happen.Local Farmers' Markets

The farmers' markets accept Senior/WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program Vouchers and EBT/ACCESS card (food stamp benefits).
