Regular Weekly Trash Collection
Household trash is collected once a week. Please place your brown refuse cart at the curb the night before your collection day. Carts should be placed at least one foot (1') apart and three feet (3') away from obstructions such as utility poles, mailboxes, and cars. Do not place trash carts out more than one day in advance, and retrieve them on the same day as collection.
All trash must be placed in the brown refuse cart and the lid must close. There should be no contents that protrude from the closed lid and the cart should not be overstuffed/overpacked. Trash outside of the brown cart will not be collected.*

*In accordance with Ordinance #24-1395, any collection cart that is deemed unacceptable at the time of collection due to inappropriate location, timing, or contents; is considered to be overloaded; or has contents protruding from the lid, shall be considered a violation of the ordinance. The residents will be given notice and shall:
- be put into writing and placed on the handle of the collection cart.
- include a statement of the reasons why it is being issued.
- allow a reasonable time for the performance of any act it requires.
In the event of a cart violation, the collection will be skipped.
Holiday Collection Schedule
If your Trash/Recycling (T&R) day or Yard Waste (YW) day falls on a holiday, your Trash/Recycling collection or Yard Waste collection will be rescheduled.

Extra Trash Collection during End-of-Year Holidays
Up to five (5) extra bags of trash will be collected on your regular trash day during two weeks at the end of December each year. These collections do not include bulk items. A truck to collected bagged trash will follow the normal automated collection truck. Check the calendar for specific dates.
One-time Additional Trash Collection
Additional trash collections are available on Wednesdays for a $10 fee/one brown trash cart OR up to three trash bags. Schedule an additional trash collection by calling the Township Receptionist at 215-643-1600 ext. 0 or use the online store.
Bulk Trash Collection
Bulky items, such as appliances; furniture; carpet; equipment; and other large items, must be scheduled and paid for by 2:00 pm Tuesdays for Wednesday collections.
