Bulk Item Collections
Upper Dublin Township now uses OpenGov for all bulk trash, additional trash, and cardboard collection requests. Residents can submit requests, make payments, track orders, and communicate directly with Township staff, all in one convenient place.
To use the system, you’ll need to create an OpenGov account (if you don’t already have one):
- Visit: https://upperdublinpa.portal.opengov.com
- Click Sign Up (upper right corner)
- Select Sign up using Secure Portal
- Create your account and verify your email
- Log in to get started
(Already have an account? Simply log in.)
How to Submit a Collection Request
Once logged in:
- Click on Bulk Collection Requests
- Click Select next to Bulk Trash, Cardboard & Additional Trash Collection Request Form
- Click Apply Online
- Complete all required questions on the form
- Add your digital signature
- Confirm and submit your request
- Complete your payment
What Happens Next?
After submission, Township staff will review your request and confirm your order details and payment. Once approved, your collection will be scheduled.
If any updates are needed, such as changes to your items, payment amount, or collection date, you will be notified through OpenGov. You can also log in at any time to check your request status or communicate with Township staff.

Bulk Trash
To schedule & pay for a bulk trash item collection, please log into OpenGov and complete this form. All requests must be submitted by 12:00pm each Tuesday for collection on the following Wednesday.
As of January 1, 2025, bulk trash items are charged based on quantity, with fees determined by one of the following three categories:
- Items with Freon (refrigerant gas): $40/item.
Examples: refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner, dehumidifier, watercooler, or any item with a cooling component. - Items with Fuel Tank (must be emptied): $30/item.
Examples: push/riding/tractor lawn mowers, snow blower, or any item with a fuel tank. - All other Items: $20/item.
Examples: furniture, playground equipment, tools, exercise equipment, appliances, microwaves, emptied helium tanks, metal garage doors and openers, basketball poles, grills, trampoline bases, window blinds, water softeners, vacuum cleaners, toys, pool cover, porcelain bathroom fixtures, pool tables, carpeting, glass items, synthetic Christmas tree, child car seats/boosters/cribs/carriers, or any other item not listed WITHOUT Freon or a Fuel Tank.
Note: basketball poles must be disassembled for collection.
Items NOT Accepted: Computers, TVs, or other electronic devices are NOT accepted with Bulk Trash. If your order requests an unacceptable item, you will be contacted and issued a refund.
Additional Trash Collection
To schedule & pay for an additional trash collection, please log into OpenGov and complete this form. All requests must be submitted by 12:00pm each Tuesday for collection on the following Wednesday.
Cardboard Collection
To schedule a cardboard collection, please log into OpenGov and complete this form. All requests must be submitted by 12:00pm each Tuesday for collection on the following Wednesday.

NOTE: As of September 3, 2024, a non-refundable processing fee will be added to all credit card transactions made through Upper Dublin Township (program registrations, permit fees, bulk trash payments, etc.). Processing fees are paid directly to a third-party credit card vendor and are not paid to the Township.
We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. To avoid a processing fee, the Township can accept payments via cash or check.
