Upper Dublin School District, Upper Dublin Township, and the Upper Dublin Police Department have launched a partnership with BusPatrol, a school bus safety program in line with PA Motor Vehicle Code § 3345.1. A fleet of 30 district buses has been modernized with advanced safety technology, including photo enforcement cameras to detect vehicles that illegally pass stopped school buses. This initiative aims to reduce dangerous driving behavior and enhance student safety.

Fees and Required Documents

Crash reports can be obtained for $15.00, plus any other applicable vendor fees from www.crashdocs.org. In the event that a Crash Report cannot be obtained from CrashDocs, please contact the Upper Dublin Police Records Department via email at  records@udpd.us or via phone 215-646-2101.

Who can obtain a copy of a Penn DOT Crash Report?

Crash reports generated by, or in the possession of, the Upper Dublin Township Police ARE NOT subject to public access under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law (RTKL), 65 P.S. §67.101 et seq.

Persons authorized by Section 3751(b) of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code are authorized to access crash reports. They include any person involved in the crash, their attorney, insurer, the Federal Government, Branches of the Military Service, Commonwealth Agencies, Officials of Political Subdivisions, or Agencies or other States and Nations and their political subdivisions.

When to Submit Your Request

You may request a record any time after the crash; however the record can take up to 15 business days before it become available on CrashDocs'  Website. In the event that a Crash Report cannot be obtained from CrashDocs, please contact the Upper Dublin Police Records Department via email at records@udpd.us or via phone 215-646-2101.

Reported Offense Statistics For Upper Dublin Township

Upper Dublin Township crime statistics are electronically submitted to the Pennsylvania State Police Uniform Crime Reporting System by Upper Dublin Police Department. Township statistics are available to the public via the Pennsylvania State Police. The Uniform Crime Reporting System is maintained by the Pennsylvania State Police. Help in searching this system is available at 1-866-782-7711.

Ordinance 977: "Applications for a large event must be submitted to the Police Department on forms provided by the Township no less than 20 business days prior to the date of the proposed large event. Applications may be submitted no more than six months prior to any proposed large event, unless otherwise waived by the Chief of Police or his designee. Applications for a series of large events may all be made at one time, and one permit may be issued (with or without conditions) for the entire series."
