Traffic Alert: Jarrettown Road Closure: Jarrettown Road is closed in both directions at Kenmare Drive due to a large sinkhole. The road will remain closed until further notice while repairs are underway. Please follow the posted detour via Dillon Road and avoid using Dreshertown Road as an alternate route due to a weight-restricted bridge.
Traffic Advisory (July 13–21): Welsh Road Overnight Lane Closures: Beginning Monday, July 13, overnight lane closures will be in effect on Welsh Road between Twining Road and Computer Avenue from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM through July 21. Work is being performed on the Welsh Road bridge over the PA Turnpike. Motorists should expect delays, use caution, and follow directions from on-site flaggers.
A full-time Fire Marshal evaluates fire protection and safety plans. His duties also include building inspections, fire investigations and education. Requests for blasting permits must be requested by contacting the Fire Marshal directly.
The Fire Services Administrator (FSA) reports to the Township Manager and is involved with community fire protection planning, public safety and fire protection issues. The FSA is the liaison between Township Fire and EMS service providers, Township Administration and Departments, Businesses, Civic Groups, and Local, State and Federal Agencies.
