All properties being sold are required to submit a Property Transfer Application. Pursuant to Ordinance #10-1228, the following will be completed as part of the property transfer process:

  •  A Township official will inspect the exterior of the property for sidewalk compliance and proper house numbering. Any deficiencies identified must be corrected prior to the sale of the property.
  • The property file will be reviewed to determine whether any permits remain open due to incomplete or missing inspections. All open permits must be finalized prior to sale.
The property file will be reviewed for any zoning hearings associated with the property.
  • An affidavit confirming the presence of smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and sump pumps must be completed and signed.
  • Any open Notices of Violation must be resolved prior to sale.
  • Curbs and aprons will be inspected and documented; however, this is not required for the sale to proceed.
  • If any curbs and/or aprons are found to be in a failed condition during the point-of-sale inspection, they will be marked for removal and replacement prior to sale in accordance with the Property Maintenance Code enforced by Upper Dublin Township.
