The UDHS Spirit Week “Race for Recovery”

At the end of August, Hurricane Harvey devastated the Humble Independent School District in Humble, Texas. A majority of Humble Elementary School students were displaced from their homes and families lost everything. Kingwood High School students have been relocated to another high school as flood waters ravaged their high school building and athletic fields. Proceeds from this years Spirit Week “Race for Recovery” will benefit students in Humble School District. In addition to supporting this cause, UDHS will continue to support Upper Dublin Police Corporal Bill Carroll with his ongoing recovery from a head injury incurred in August of 2016.
TIME: All community race participants should arrive at Upper Dublin High School by 12:30pm to prepare for the start of the race. The race will begin promptly at 1:25pm in front of the entrance to the Athletics Complex.
COURSE: The 2 mile run/walk course will feature a loop through the community which will pass Corporal Carroll’s house and FWES.
REGISTRATION: To register, please return the signed waiver to Tammy Echevarria at Upper Dublin Township Building Parks & Recreation Office M-F 9am-5pm. Participants MUST include a $20 minimum donation in the form of cash or check with their signed waiver. Checks should be made out to the “UDHS Fund”. Pre-registration will close at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 17th . There will be race day registration available!!!!
T-SHIRTS: All pre-registered participants who donate $20.00 or more will receive a T-shirt!
REFRESHMENTS: Gatorade, water, soft pretzels and other snacks will be provided immediately following the race in
the Lobby of the Athletics Complex
