SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL

Residents are reminded that sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24 hours of the end of a winter storm in accordance with Ordinance #656. Compliance with this ordinance allows for safe pedestrian passage and will be enforced by the Upper Dublin Township Police Department.

It is illegal to shovel, plow or blow snow on to a street in accordance with Ordinance #1062.

To reduce the possibility of damage to your mailbox by the snowplow, check with the Public Works Department to be sure that your mailbox is installed at the proper height and setback from the street.

Remember to shovel snow to the right side of your driveway, facing the road. This will help to reduce the amount of snow pushed back into your driveway during plowing.

PennDOT 1-800-FIX-ROAD is responsible for snow and ice control as well as road repairs on Morris Road and the 309 Expressway. Although the Township provides snow and ice control on Butler Pike, Montgomery County is fully responsible for road repairs. The PA Turnpike Commission 1-800-331-3414 is responsible for snow and ice control and road maintenance on the turnpike.
