Paint Disposal
Water-based or latex paint may be placed out with your regular trash if the lid is off the can and the paint is completely dry. If there is a small quantity of paint in the can, remove the lid and let is stand in a well-ventilated area away from children and pets until dry. For larger quantities of paint or to speed up the drying process, stir in an absorbent like kitty litter, vermiculite, sawdust, or shredded paper.
