Rental Unit Regulations
In 2008, the township adopted rental unit regulations and amended them in 2010 in order to:
- to protect and promote the public health, safety and welfare of residents within the township
- to establish the obligations of both owners and tenants of rental units within the township
- to improve the maintenance and quality of rental units by compliance with applicable codes and ordinances of the township
- to require the licensing of rental units and to establish procedures for the issuance of formal warnings, and the non-renewal and suspension of such license
Rental Housing License Application
Property owners are required to register rental units with the Township and pay an annual fee based upon the number of dwelling units in a building in order to receive a Housing License. Fees can be found in the Permit Price List.
