Community Notice of Floodplain Map Amendments

The Township of Upper Dublin, Montgomery County, PA, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the Upper Dublin Township's intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between Dresher and Fort Washington. Specifically, the flood hazard information shall be revised along the Pine Run from a point 4000' north of Susquehanna Road to a point 500' north of Pennsylvania Avenue and on the Rapp Run from a point 1000' south of Susquehanna Road to its confluence with the Pine Run at Delaware Drive. As a result of the revision, the floodway shall widen and narrow, the 1% annual chance water-surface elevations shall increase and decrease, and the 1% annual chance floodplain shall widen and narrow within the area of revision.

Maps and detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at the Public Works Office, Upper Dublin Township, 801 Loch Alsh Avenue, Fort Washington, PA. Interested persons may call Tom Fountain, P.E., Township Engineer at 215-643-1600 for additional information from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
