June 12, 2008- Chief of Police Terrence P. Thompson is proud to announce that the Upper Dublin Township Police has been awarded re-accreditation by the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC). Only about 4% of Pennsylvania police agencies have earned the distinction of PLEAC accreditation.
June 6, 2008- The Upper Dublin Township Police Department would like to Congratulate Sergeant Darren Nyce and Sergeant Andrew Sanborn for completing the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety Police Staff and Command School. This is a very demanding ten week course in police management and is held throughout the entire United States. Sergeants Sanborn and Nyce attended this course in Bucks County from February to June.

November 13, 2007- Officer Thomas Szybowski Jr. was administered the oath of office today by Magisterial District Judge Zaffarano. Officer Szybowski is a Pennsylvania Department of Health certified Emergency Medical Technician and was previously employed Ambler Ambulance and Second Alarmer's Rescue Squad. Officer Szybowski will attend the Police Academy in February, 2008. Please welcome Officer Szybowski to the Upper Dublin Community.

November 1, 2007- Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell signed Legislation designating Dreshertown Road, between Welsh Road and North Limekiln Pike, the "Sergeant James R. Miller Memorial Highway." Sergeant Miller died in the line of duty on April 20, 2004, in a vehicle accident.

October 3, 2007 - Officer Ryan Judge was administered the oath of office by Magisterial District Judge Zaffarano. Officer Judge was previously employed by the Philadelphia Police Department where he served in the Highway Patrol Division. Please welcome Officer Judge to the Upper Dublin Community.

September 28, 2007 - The Upper Dublin Police Department congratulates Sergeant Rodney Hildebrand on his retirement. Sergeant Hildebrand joined the Upper Dublin Police Department on January 2, 1974. Sergeant Hildebrand was assigned to the Juvenile Investigation Division and was the Police Department's D.A.R.E. coordinator and a D.A.R.E. Instructor.
September 4, 2007 - The Upper Dublin Police Department congratulates Officer Lori Sweeney on her retirement. Officer Sweeney joined the Upper Dublin Police Department on August 01, 1987. Officer Sweeney was a D.A.R.E. Instructor and a police department field training officer.
August 16, 2007 - The Upper Dublin Police Department welcomes its newest officers: Officer Brian Farinella, Officer Michael Bortnichak and Officer Ryan Judge. Officer Farinella and Officer Bortnichak were administered the oath of office by Magisterial District Judge Patricia Zaffarano on August 16, 2007. Officer Farinella is attending the Police Academy and Officer Bortnichak has begun the police department's field training program. Officer Judge will be be administered the oath of office on October 3, 2007 and will begin the field training program at that time.

August 7, 2007 - The Upper Dublin Police Department congratulates Detective Michael Dayoc on his retirement. Detective Dayoc joined the Upper Dublin Police Department as a patrol officer on February 11, 1981. Detective Dayoc was the police department's drug task force coordinator and a field training officer.
August 2, 2007 - The Upper Dublin Police Department congratulates Officer David Hill on his retirement. Officer Hill joined the police department on April 29, 1976. Officer Hill was a trained negotiator and a police department field training officer.
April 20, 2007 - The Upper Dublin community came together to remember Sgt. James R. Miller. Sgt. Miller who died in the line-of-duty on April 20, 2004. Chief Terrence P. Thompson led the re-dedication of a new Police Station memorial in Sgt. Miller's honor to remember his 28 years of exemplary service.

Project Safe Return® The Upper Dublin Township Police Department in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association of Delaware Valley is proud to present Project Safe Return®. Project Safe Return® is a voluntary Police Department program that assists Police Officers in reuniting care givers with lost or wandering loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Autism or other incapacitating conditions.
