
The Upper Dublin Township Police Department is charged with the protection of life and property within a 13 plus square mile political boundary. The Police Department is a Pennsylvania first class civil service criminal justice system law enforcement agency. Staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Department employs 40 full time sworn officers, 5 full time dispatchers, 2 part time dispatchers, 1 full time civilian clerk and 1 part time civilian clerk to fulfill its mission.
The Department consists of 2 major divisions identified as Patrol and Staff, 3 support divisions identified as Communications, Adult Investigations and Juvenile Investigations with several specialized units addressing Tactical Response, Major Incident Response, Medical Response, Bike Patrol, Highway Patrol and DARE education.
Committed to the Community Oriented Policing philosophy, Upper Dublin Police Department hosts several outreach programs each year. These programs include a College Intern Program, a Driver Safety Seminar and a Junior Police Academy. Individual talks are also available for schools and civic associations.
