Equipment Operator - Sanitation
Upper Dublin Township seeks a qualified individual for the position of Equipment Operator in our
Sanitation Department. Responsibilities of the position will involve, but are not limited to: collecting refuse from
township residents, loading refuse onto sanitation trucks, lifting bulky objects onto trucks, driving trucks,
operating heavy equipment, performance of routine maintenance and light repairs of trucks and equipment, ice and snow
removal and related duties as required.
Candidates should be responsible, have the ability to perform heavy manual labor for long periods under adverse weather conditions and perform a variety of physical tasks in the Township's maintenance and repair operations.
A Class "A" Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement is required or a Class "B" CDL with the ability to obtain a Class "A" within 90 days of securing the job. Applicants should not have any "Major Offenses" on their license or any "Serious Traffic Offenses" within the last 3 years. Due to the type of work, this job will require working overtime when asked.
Additionally the successful applicant will be expected to successfully pass a drug/alcohol screening test as part of the application process. Fire Services Administrator
The Township is accepting applications for the position of Fire Services Administrator, reporting to
the Township Manager. This position involves complex administrative, highly technical and specialized fire services
and management elements. The selected candidate works independently in making judgments and leadership decisions
requiring familiarity with recognized national standards and must exhibit the ability and familiarity to deal
effectively with volunteer emergency responders, public officials and citizen concerns; is involved with community
fire protection planning, public safety and fire protection issues in the Township; maintains established liaisons
between Township Fire and EMS emergency responders, Township Administration and Staff, Local, State, and Federal
Agencies, Community Leaders, Businesses and Civic Groups, to ensure effective and safe emergency operations.
Candidates should possess the ability to be a successful project manager with outstanding interpersonal skills for team building and conflict resolution. Detail-oriented record maintenance is required. Candidates need a minimum of an Associates Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years experience and be current with mandated training standards in fire rescue and special hazard operations.
