UPPER DUBLIN PUBLIC LIBRARY - YOUNG ADULT (TEEN) LIBRARIAN (PART-TIME)

Upper Dublin Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, energetic, and imaginative public library professional for an exciting opportunity working with teens in our active youth services department. Can you turn a library into a stage for a session of Food Fear Factor? Can you facilitate programs that let teens share their favorite websites, iPod tunes, and YouTube videos? Can you booktalk in a variety of genres? If this sounds like your ideal day at work, this position may be just right for you.

Major responsibilities include planning and implementing all areas of teen programs and displays, developing the young adult collections (including music, movies, and video games), and acting as advisor to our supportive Teen Library Council. Requirements: American Library Association accredited Masters Degree or equivalent. Experience working with teens is a must. Work schedules are determined by departmental need, but this position requires evening and weekend hours as well as flexibility in scheduling.
