Road Construction Announcements
LOCAL ROAD REPAIRS

Upper Dublin Roadways:

Tennis Avenue between Bethlehem Pike and Welsh Road - State contractor will be doing milling of the roadway between 6 PM and 6 AM. LANE CLOSURES will be in effect.

Limekiln Pike (PA 152) between PA 463 and County Line Road - Bridge Damage - CLOSED and DETOURED. Detour Posted. Closed from 5/25/10 to Indefinite.

Route 202 (Dekalb Pike) - From August 30 - September 2, there will be lane restrictions on northbound and southbound Route 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Sumneytown Pike and PA 63 ( Welsh Road) in Upper Gwynedd and Lower Gwynedd Twps for road construction from 9:00am - 3:00pm.

2010 Milling and Paving Schedule:

Update 8/30/10 at 5:00 PM:

Township crews continue to do milling work on Virginia Drive in the Industrial Park. They are working in the area from Camphill Road to Delaware Avenue. Paving of this area may begin near the end of this week.

All milling and paving by Township crews on Township residential streets has now been completed.

Signal Installation:

Traffic Signal Upgrades:

Work is wrapping up at the three traffic signals, Jenkintown Road and North Hills Avenue, Jenkintown Road and Fitzwatertown Road and Butler Pike and Morris Road, that were part of the Montgomery County traffic signal upgrade project. The work is part of a $4.3 million transportation economic recovery project for traffic signal upgrades at 32 intersections in Montgomery County.

Lane restrictions will sometimes occur weekdays at the intersections from 9a-3p.


Route 309 Update:

Summary Notes:

· SR 309 from English Village Road to Highland Avenue. Side roads, Bethlehem Pike @ SR 309, McKean Road @ SR 309, Susquehanna Road @ SR 309, Cedar Hill Road @ SR 309, Butler Pike @ SR 309, Tennis Avenue @ SR 309, Loch Alsh Avenue @ SR 309.

· Susquehanna Road on ramp to SB 309 is open for traffic driving east on Susquehanna Road. Detour signs are in effect for traffic heading west.

· McKean Road and Tennis Avenue are reduced to a single lane at SR 309 until further notice. Temporary traffic signals are in effect.

· Southbound Route 309 is reduced to a single lane for the duration of the project

from Bethlehem Pike to Norristown Road.

Current Notes:

v Side roads noted above may have temporary restrictions between 7 AM - 5 PM.

v Restrictions are as noted above and temporary lane closures may occur on SR309 between 9 AM - 3 PM and 9 PM - 5 AM.

v Norristown Road entrance to SB 309 will be restricted for westbound traffic. The SB 309 on ramp at Norristown Road will remain open to EB traffic.

v NB 309 off ramp to Norristown Road remains open to EB traffic on Norristown Road.
