Special Needs Registry for Montgomery County Residents Residents of Montgomery County who have special needs should register with the County. This registry allows citizens with special needs and their associates an opportunity to provide information to emergency response agencies, so emergency responders can better plan to serve them in a disaster or other emergencies. For the purpose of this registry, a special needs individual is someone who cannot receive, understand or act upon emergency protective orders.
Project Safe Return® The Upper Dublin Township Police Department in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association of Delaware Valley is proud to present Project Safe Return®. This is a voluntary Police Department program that assists Police Officers in reuniting care givers with lost or wandering loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Autism or other incapacitating conditions. April 6, 2012 - The Upper Dublin Township Police will be hosting our annual National Police Week event of Monday, May 14, 2012, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Upper Dublin Township Building. There will be many public safety organizations represented and plenty of giveaways.
October 29, 2011 - UDT Police take part in National Drug Enforcement Take-Back Initiative (Medication Collection), Saturday, 10/29/2011 10a-2p at the Township Building. This one-day effort provides the public with an opportunity to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction. This program is absolutely anonymous. The purpose of this nationwide program is to bring national attention to the issue of prescription drug abuse and the dangers that exist within the medicine cabinets found in homes across the United States.
August 15, 2011- The Upper Dublin Township Police Department in conjunction with the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities and the Warminster Police Department, on behalf of their respective Civil Service Commissions or Municipalities, will be conducting a written examination for Police Officer on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Abington Senior High School, 900 Highland Avenue, Abington, PA 19001. July 13, 2011- the Upper Dublin Township Police Department was re-accredited by the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission. The members of the Upper Dublin Township Police Department are proud to have attained this distinguished status.
July 12, 2011- The Upper Dublin Township Police Department would like to welcome our newest police officer, Nicholas Castellano. Officer Castellano is a graduate of Kutztown University, Temple University and the Temple University Police Academy. We would like to wish Officer Castellano good luck in his new career.

February 8, 2011- The Upper Dublin Township Police Department would like to welcome our newest police officers, Michael Ciuffettelli and Andrew Rowland. Officer Ciuffettelli is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and was previously employed as a law enforcement officer in New Jersey. Officer Rowland graduated from the Ohio State University and is currently attending the Montgomery County Police Academy. We would like to wish Officer Ciuffettelli and Officer Rowland good luck in their new careers.

December 16, 2010- Police Chief Terrence Thompson was presented with the "2010 President's Award" from the FBI National Academy, Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter. The award is presented annually, by the Chapter, to a police chief who supports the mission of the FBI and the National Academy but was unable to attend the National Academy.
