On Monday, May 14, 2012, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the Upper Dublin Township Police Department hosted a National Police Week Commemoration at the Upper Dublin Township Municipal Complex. The Upper Dublin Police and other community emergency service providers participated in a night filled with fun and educational activities for the whole family. Activities included police station tours, safety demonstrations, CHILD ID Program, crime prevention tips, giveaways and more.

National Police Week was started by President Kennedy in 1962. It was started to remember all those Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. This year, Chief Thompson and the Upper Dublin Township Police Department were proud to present the National Police Week Commemoration Event, which not only remembered these Officers, but also educated community members about law enforcement and public safety. This event brought the community together through police-community partnerships.
